                     EMI and Power Supplies in Medical Electronics Focus: One of the challenges in designing power supplies for patient-connected medical applications is controlling EMI while still limiting leakage currents to the required maximum levels. This article looks at EMI threats to power supply operation and presents tips on mitigating these threats. Sources of interference and coupling paths are discussed. Tips on selection of filter components and mounting techniques to minimize coupling paths are presented.
