Converter Synchronization Provides Design Flexibility Focus: Two PWM-controlled power converters can be synchronized by controlling the slope of the internal voltage ramp in the synchronized power converter. This technique enables synchronization when a PWM controller IC doesn't allow access to its timing capacitor, while permitting features like programmable deadtime.
What you’ll learn: - How to synchronize power converters with internal timing capacitors (internal to a PWM controller)
- How to synchronize a power converter to a frequency that is faster or slower than its natural, free-running frequency
- How to synchronize multiple power converters running on the same dc bus.
