Constant-Current Source Creates Slope-Compensation Ramp In SMPS

Focus:

In power supplies that employ peak current-mode control a ramp signal is required to slope-compensate the current control loop. A simple, constant-current-source ramp generator improves power supply stability and accuracy versus other methods of ramp generation.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to generate a ramp signal for compensation with slope that is independent of power supply input voltage
