Answering your Questions about Power Design

75 W Output, High Efficiency, Single Stage Flyback Power Supply With PFC for LED Ballasts

Focus:

A design based on the TOPSwitch-GX chip implements a 208-Vac to 277-Vac input, 24-V 3.125-A dc output CV/CC power supply for driving LEDs. This single-stage, flyback design operates in discontinuous conduction mode and with no input capacitance during steady-state operation so that it achieves a high power factor (>0.97 worst case). This design meets industrial requirements for a minimum power factor of 0.9.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to build a power-factor-corrected, 240-Vac input, 24-V 3.125-A output CV/CC power supply for driving LEDs
