20 W Single Stage Flyback Power Supply With PFC for LED Ballasts

Focus:

A design based on the TOPSwitch-GX chip implements a universal-input, 12-V 1.67-A output CV/CC power supply for driving high-current LED arrays. This isolated, single-stage flyback design includes power factor correction (PF = 0.9 min.) for compliance with Energy Star solid-state lighting (SSL) requirements for commercial applications. Efficiency is approximately 80% over the input-voltage range.
