High Efficiency Constant Current Buck Converter for LED Lighting

Focus:

Based on the LNK306PN LinkSwitch-TN chip, this design implements a 120-Vac input, 70-V 130-mA output constant-current power supply for driving LEDs. This nonisolated supply uses a buck topology to achieve greater than 90% efficiency over its operating range.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to build a 9.1-W 70-V output, 120-VAC input, nonisolated power supply for driving LEDs
