Use PWM To Maintain Motor Speed And Phase While Eliminating Loop Filter

Focus:

A simple PLL circuit controls dc motor speed (at 6000 RPM) and phase without requiring a PLL loop filter. Use of pulse width modulation ensures good load regulation and eliminates the need for additional components that are typically required to compensate armature resistance losses.
