Simple PWM Modulator Allows DC Control Signal To Drive LEDs

Focus:

Dimming LEDs with a pulse-width modulated control signal enables more-efficient LED operation at higher current levels. A dual comparator plus a few passive components forms a circuit that converts a 0- to 5-Vdc control signal to a 500-Hz PWM signal with 100% adjustable duty cycle.
