Digital controller compensates analog controller Focus: Digital power control ICs often do not provide gate drive and current limiting. Hysteretic controllers have gate drive and current limiting but may not perform well in some applications because of variable switching frequency, overshoot, and inability to regulate feedback below the reference voltage. Combining the CLZD010 digital control IC with the LM3485 hysteretic control IC achieves robust closed-loop control together with current-limited high-side gate drive.
