High Source Impedance - Measuring and Managing It in DC-DC Power Converters

Focus:

This 2 and a half minute video discusses the impact of a high-source impedance (on the order of 1 ohm) on the operation of the company’s dc-dc converters. Effects such as oscillation and triggering of undervoltage lock out are discussed, and demonstrated on the bench. Advice is given on minimizing the source impedance to avoid the unwanted effects.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to understand the impact of high source impedance on the operation of dc-dc converters
