Non-Inverting Integrators Are Not Really Integrators (Part 2)

Focus:

The first part of this series described the standard inverting integrator circuit and a variant with phase correction. Through analysis, it was shown that inverting integrators are real integrators because their amplitude-frequency characteristics are down sloping at a constant rate unlimitedly, assuming there are no parasitic parameters. This part 2 analyzes non-inverting integrator circuits (also with and without phase correction), as such circuits are widely promoted as integrator solutions. Their amplitude-frequency characteristics are compared with those of the inverting integrator circuits and some conclusions are drawn about the performance of the non-inverting types.
